Wyoming weather!

JJ and I went for a drive yesterday evening to check out the spill at Pathfinder. Needless to say, it was one of those evenings I was happy I brought the camera along. But I honestly don't know if the above pictures do justice to the overall spectacle that it was. Enjoy!

Nomad Nets

Nomad sent us a net to put through the paces. Our first reaction was "Wow, this thing is light and pretty!" It is a carbon fiber frame that is super strong and requires no maintenance. This speaks to us, as we spend a pretty penny on our wood nets that need constant care and eventually fail.
The first venue was being tossed around in the boat while floating Grey Reef. Of course, it preformed flawlessly. Grey Reef is about as easy on gear as any river. Next, was a wade fishing venture to Miracle Mile. This where it really proves itself. The weight makes it so much nicer to pack while boulder hopping. The fact that it is so strong keeps one piece of gear off of the worry list. Nomad would be our choice, hands down, for a remote trip. You may not think about a net being essential gear, until your net fails.
The price is very fair for a net that will not only look cool and feature carbon fiber technology, but is much lighter and will outlast wood or metal landing nets by a long way. Available at The Reef Fly Shop. Visit Nomad on the web at http://nomadflyfishing.com
